Urban Beach ’26

A Summer to Look Forward To

As we head towards August, we’re excited to bring something completely new to Elsea Park: Urban Beach ’26, a three‑week pop‑up beach experience right here on Cookes Field. With soft sand, colourful seating, and a bright seaside atmosphere, this initiative is designed to give residents a place to relax, play, and enjoy the summer without travelling far.

To make the most of the season, we’ve arranged street entertainment five times each week, including family performers, workshops, and pop‑up activities that will bring the space to life. From juggling and circus skills to music and children’s sessions, there will always be something happening for all ages to enjoy.

Of course, we’re hoping for a good spell of summer weather — and if the sunshine joins us, Urban Beach ’26 will be the perfect spot for families, friends, and neighbours to unwind together. Even on cooler days, the space will remain open for residents to use at their leisure.

This is a brand‑new initiative for the Trust, and we’re genuinely looking forward to seeing the community make the most of it. Whether you’re dropping by for a lunchtime break, bringing the children after school, or joining us for one of the entertainment sessions, we hope Urban Beach ’26 becomes a highlight of your summer.
