Platinum Jubilee

The commemoration of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee was a huge success throughout the town and Elsea Park played a big part in this.

The Jubilee Festival was one of our biggest-ever events, and despite there being so many options for everyone to enjoy on the day, it was great to see such a wonderful turnout. The hog roast was a big hit, and the kitchen was a constant hive of activity keeping up with the demand for food and drinks. The money generated at the event will be split equally between two great local organisations, The Butterfield Centre and Tiny Steps Petting Farm.

It was also great to see a number of residents hosting their own street parties and celebrating the occasion in their own way. Hopefully, it was also an opportunity to bring new neighbours together and strengthen the wonderful community spirit we have here.
